My name is Cristina Șipoș
Software tester

In the beginning, when I started to learn about testing, I was taught that testing is all about writing test plans, and hundreds of test cases and then executing them. However, under the guidance of my mentor James Bach, my perspective on testing evolved significantly.  I have learned that testing is evaluating a product by learning, exploring, discovering, investigating, and observing. This approach encourages critical and skeptical thinking about products with a focus on presenting discoveries through test reports as storytelling.

James Bach sent Cristina to me over a year ago to help with her testing and critical thinking skills. We started off by diving into some very challenging philosophical books. We spent hours discussing and debating these topics, with me often playing devil's advocate to push her thinking. I've seen a big improvement in Cristina's critical thinking skills and testing skills since we started. She's asking deeper questions about products and her oracles are getting stronger every time we talk. The things that I admire most about Cristina is her dedication to learning and her organizational skills. If you have any questions about Cristinas abilities or experiences with me, please contact me. I am more than happy to further discuss why I can confidently say Cristina will make a great tester for any company. Alexander Carlsson Tester @ ThinkMD Contact: acarlsson@thinkmd.org
